The 2nd annual N.B.T.S.G. Convention will be held on September 26
– 28th, at the Renaissance St. Louis
This convention will be host to the largest variety of trade vendors of the
year. Please visit the vendor
St. Louis proved to be an excellent location last year so we have decided to
revisit it again for 2010. In order to maintain Guild status recognition,
members must re-certify every three years. The ever-changing beauty tool The National Beauty Tool Sharpeners Guild is a guild open to all sharpeners using any type of equipment by any manufacturer. The purpose is to recognize a sharpener’s skill in one or all of the listed fields of sharpening. What are the advantages of attending the N.B.T.S.G. Convention you ask? · Continuing education on all the latest techniques by leaders in the industry.

Having the opportunity to network with sharpeners that excel in
their fields. Some of the most valuable · Self-satisfaction in knowing that you are as good a sharpener as you think you are. · You will be able to market yourself as a Guild Apprentice, Guild Member, Master or Grand Master Sharpener. · Visit with vendors from all over the country and take advantage of their special sales on their equipment and supplies. · Equipment manufactures will be available to answer questions. · Judging is done by certified Master Sharpener’s.

The different levels of Guild Members are:
Guild Member Apprentice:
This is a sharpener that did not achieve their goal as a Guild Member in the
fields chosen, Guild Member: Is a sharpener that has achieved status in the fields chosen. Master Sharpener Guild Member: Is a sharpener that has achieved Master Sharpener status in each of the field’s chosen. Grand Master Sharpener Guild Member: Has achieved Master Sharpener status in all of the fields offered.
